SIR LANNIE AT SIXTY !!!
This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Sir Lannie reaching the milestone age of sixty. In those sixty years he has had numerous interests and pastimes. He has, or still is, a radio ham, a cyclist, an astronomer, a golfer, a magician, a caravanner, a fisherman, a DJ and finally a geocacher.
This cache is the last in the series and relates to Sir Lannie as a geocacher. He started geocaching on 10th October 2010 (a special day when several geocaching events took place for 10/10/10). He chose the name “Lannies” as it had been a name in his school days. The Sir was added at a later date when fellow geocachers “knighted” him.
In just over 4 years he’s found over 5500 hides, mainly in the UK but a few in Ireland and France. Additionally he has hidden many caches on the Wirral as well as hosting many successful events. In 2013 Sir Lannie co-ordinated the placing of 80 caches along the Wirral Way, a geocaching walk that is as popular as ever.
Returning to this cache :
1. You need to collect the 8 letter/numbers on the logsheets in the other 8 caches in this series.
2. Rearrange the letters to form a word relating to this series of caches.
3. Replace the letters with their corresponding numbers (keeping then in the same order)
4. Use the 8 numbers to complete the co-ordinates of this cache (digits 1-4 for N, 5-8 for W)
