Many mornings for the last 14 years I have topped this rise to look down on a beautiful herd of cows in this huge pasture.
One day this week the picture was a bit different. First glance revealed cows running, an inconceivable notion. As I drew nearer, there were two modern day cowboys, using speedy horses to cut the heard. I couldn’t help but reflect on the contributions of cowboys, historic and modern to this still valuable Florida industry.
