Balance 3 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Team GPSaxophone: I think this one has been around long enough, especially for a micro. It was very fun to have it right out in front of City Hall, but now that that has moved to the "geographic" center of town (rather than where all the people are), I think it's time to let it go. Thanks to all for the enjoyable logs and especially to those who helped keep this cache going after we moved out of town. We'd love to make it down there for an event cache sometime, but that can be hard to arrange around my work schedule.

Geocache Description:

This cache is an Ultra-Micro outside of the Rio Rancho City Hall. This is a log-only cache! Due to the small size of the container, there is no way I could fit even a pencil inside. BRING YOUR OWN WRITING UTENSIL! (fine-tip pen, sharp pencil, etc).

I couldn't get very good signal strength from the satellites due to the nearby building and tree. This is the most risky (and most challenging) of the Balance series so far. I would highly recommend searching for this AFTER normal business hours. This area is very busy all week long. Please be discreet by hunting solo, or in pairs for this one. Larger groups would look very suspicious rummaging through the area. Feel free to abandon the hunt and try again at another time when there are fewer muggles around. If this cache proves to be too hard, I'll add a clue later.

About the Balance series:
Rio Rancho has a serious lack of caches in the populated portion of the city. The Balance cache series is being placed to fix that. This series is named 'Balance' for a few reasons:
Ø Find the first Balance cache.
Ø We're placing caches that blend in or are balanced with the environment.
Ø We want to balance the number of urban and rural caches in the area.

This cache was placed by a New Mexico Geocacher.
