find the cache, you must decrypt the coodinates using the
puzzle.
Welcome to the Ames Crypto-Cache!
Find the information requested for each of the sites listed below.
Each answer will be a four digit year. Put only one digit in each
box. When all the sites have been found and the year entered,
decrypt the coordinates for the final cache based on the numbers
you have filled in the lettered boxes.
GeoForse and I hope you enjoy your walk around the ISU campus! Good
luck decrypting the final coordinates. Parking on campus is often
difficult, especially during the time when ISU is in session. A
good place to park is at N 42o01.325 W
093o38.139 - this will get you relatively close and
should provide you relatively open parking except during major
college sporting events. The final cache has moved from its
original position due to theft problems (thus the final coordinates
changed). If you walk to all the sites at one time and keep moving
it takes about 75 minutes and is about 2.2 miles long (if you park
at the above coordinates). Then it takes about an additional 30
minutes for the final cache. All the dates are on permanent
infrastructure that has been in place for many years. Have fun!
