Geocache Description:

Around Springfield IV

Reverend Timothy Lovejoy. He initially came to Springfield an eager, idealistic, guitar-playing, Volkswagen Karmann Ghia-driving young man in the seventies, only to become cynical and disillusioned about his flock and ministry, mostly due to Ned Flanders, who constantly pesters him with  non-religious non-emergencies such as thinking he swallowed a toothpick. At one point, Lovejoy "just stopped caring," but rediscovered the joy of helping others, though Ned still irritates him. Lovejoy even suggests Ned join another religion, as Lovejoy says they are all much the same.

Lovejoy's rarely-seen daughter Jessica loves to cause mischief and manipulate people. Her hijinks are revealed to stem from her hunger for attention, which her father does not sufficiently provide. Lovejoy sent her to boarding school in an attempt to curb her tendencies, but Jessica was expelled, having shown no improvement. He does nothing about it out of denial and refuses to believe his daughter is worse than Bart.

What famous actor does the voice of Jessica? Count the letters i her first name and subtract 1 for "A".

Troy McClure, is a stereotypical Hollywood has-been. He was a star in the early 1970s, but his career went downhill due to rumors of a paraphilia involving fish. In most of his appearances in the show, he hosts short video clips that other characters watch on television or in a public place. To further boost McClure's career, McClure's agent suggests that he gets married. Unaware of McClure's motivation, Selma accepts his proposal, and moves into McClure's house, a Modernist building which resembles the Chemosphere.

At his bachelor party, a drunken McClure tells Homer Simpson that the marriage is just a sham to help his career. Homer says nothing at the wedding, but later mentions McClure's admission to Marge, who then informs her sister. Selma decides to remain with McClure anyway, but she becomes disturbed when McClure's agent advises the pair have a child (since "all the big parts these days are going to family men"). Having a child will secure McClure's casting as McBain's sidekick in McBain IV: Fatal Discharge, but Selma is unwilling to bring a child into a loveless relationship, and decides to leave McClure.

Phil Hartman was killed by his wife on May ??, 1998. Use first digit and add 1 for "B".

Dr. Nick Riviera. Dr. Nick has a medical degree from "Hollywood Upstairs Medical College" (where he apparently spent much of his time using his ability to acquire prescription drugs to impress a succession of attractive women). Thus far, none of the patients he has swindled, maimed, or given useless or dangerous medical advice seems to have sued him—although a few have come after him in person. Riviera is a stereotype of shady, immoral doctors who perform medical procedures for money with little or no regard for medical ethics, or their patients' well-being. In "The Girl Who Slept Too Little" he is seen digging up corpses in the graveyard for body parts, presumably to use in operations on patients.

He has operated on the Simpson family a couple of times (when they cannot afford their regular doctor, Julius Hibbert) notably when Homer needed a heart bypass. Lisa Simpson attended the live audience for the operation and saved the day by guiding the obviously clueless Dr. Riviera through the operation.

What is Dr. Nick´s phone number? Use the second digit and add 3 for "C".

Robert Underdunk Terwilliger, better known by his stage name Sideshow Bob. Bob is a self-proclaimed genius who attended Yale, a member of the Republican Party, and a champion of high culture. He began his career as a sidekick on Krusty the Clown's television show, but after enduring constant abuse, Bob attempted to frame his employer for armed robbery in "Krusty Gets Busted". The plan was foiled by Bart Simpson, and Sideshow Bob was sent to prison. Bob made his second major appearance in season three's "Black Widower"; the writers echoed the premise of the Coyote chasing the Road Runner by having Bob unexpectedly insert himself into Bart's life and attempt to kill him. In each appearance thereafter, Bob has assumed the role on The Simpsons of an evil genius. Episodes in which he is a central character typically involve Sideshow Bob being released from prison and executing an elaborate revenge plan, usually foiled by Bart and Lisa. His plans often involve murder and destruction, usually targeted at Bart or, less often, Krusty, though these plans often involve targeting the entire Simpson family.

Bob's prisoner number is often xxxxx? Use the last digit for "D".

Barnard "Barney" Gumble. He is the town drunk and Homer Simpson's best friend. His capacity for alcohol is a frequent butt of jokes on the show. Barney sobered up in the episode "Days of Wine and D'oh'ses", which was co-written by Castellaneta, and stayed sober for several episodes. Barney's father Arnie Gumble was a World War II veteran who died in 1979 in a parade float accident. Little is known about his mother, except that she lives in Norway in later years.

Barney made a documentary film about his life as an alcoholic, titled Pukahontas. It won the top prize at the Springfield Film Festival. In "Deep Space Homer", Barney trained to become an astronaut for NASA. Under their alcohol-ban, he quickly developed superior skills and was selected to fly with Buzz Aldrin. However, he reverted to his old ways when he was presented with a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne. Barney served in the United States Navy Reserve as a submariner on the USS Jebediah, alongside his mother, in "Simpson Tide".

In "Days of Wine and D'oh'ses", after watching a video of his drunken antics at his birthday party, Barney resolves to get sober. He attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, cleans up his appearance, and attends helicopter-flying lessons. In "Homer's Barbershop Quartet", Barney formed a barbershop quartet with Homer, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, and Seymour Skinner called the Be Sharps. Barney was asked to join when the other members heard him singing in a beautiful tenor voice in the restroom of Moe's Tavern, replacing the group's original fourth member, Clancy Wiggum, who was kicked out. In 198x, the Be Sharps won a Grammy Award for Outstanding Soul, Spoken Word, or Barbershop Album of the Year. On what date was Barney born? Use the last digit for "E".

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. Apu is a U.S. citizen and holds a Ph.D., in computer science. He graduated first in his class of seven million at 'Caltech' — Calcutta Technical Institute — going on to earn his doctorate at the Springfield Heights Institute of Technology. Apu began working at the Kwik-E-Mart during his college years to pay off his student loan, but stayed afterward as he had come to enjoy his job and the friends he had made.

He remained an illegal immigrant until Mayor Quimby proposed a municipal law to expel all undocumented aliens. Apu responded by purchasing a forged birth certificate from the Springfield Mafia that listed his parents as U.S. citizens Herb and Judy Nahasapeemapetilon, but when he realized he was forsaking his origins, he abandoned this plan and instead successfully managed to pass his citizenship test with help from Lisa and Homer Simpson. Thus, he refers to himself as a "semi-legal immigrant". Apu is also a vegan, and is rumored to be a big fan of the Cheap Trick song, "Dream Police" even though he knows the words imperfectly.

When his mother announces it is time for his arranged marriage to a woman named Manjula, whom he had not seen in years. Apu tries to wriggle out of the arrangement at first but is won over when he meets Manjula face-to-face, and the two decide to give the marriage a try. Later the two actually do fall in love. In the episode "Eight Misbehavin'", Manjula receives too many doses of fertility drugs from herself, Apu, and the well-meaning, but unsynchronized, Simpsons.

This leads to her giving birth to how many babies? The answer gives you "I"

Dr. Julius M. Hibbert. Is Springfield's most prominent and competent doctor, though he sometimes makes no effort to hide or makes light of his high prices. Dr. Hibbert is very good-natured, and is known for finding a reason to laugh at nearly every situation. Despite his seemingly honest and good-hearted personality, there is evidence that he is, at heart, a committed mercenary. In "Homer's Triple Bypass", Hibbert announces to Homer that his heart operation will cost $30,000. When Homer has a heart attack in front of him in response to this news, he says, unmoved, that the cost is now $40,000 - hinting the heart attack made him now require a quadruple bypass.

Hibbert is often seen in flashbacks (for example, Lisa's birth, or Bart's accidents as a toddler), and each time has a different hairstyle (afro, dreadlocks, Mr. T-style Mohawk, etc.) appropriate for the time period.

Is Dr. Hibbert married?  Yes = 0, No = 1 for "G".

Mayor Joseph "Joe" Quimby, nicknamed "Diamond Joe". Is largely a parody of Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy, as well as of corrupt politics in general. Quimby has long served as the mayor of the city of Springfield. He appears as a slick, opportunistic politician whose chief priorities seem to be keeping himself in office, womanizing, and various other forms of corruption, including embezzling tax money, taking bribes from Fat Tony, the local Mafia Don, and giving monthly kickbacks to Police Chief Wiggum. The seal on the wall of his office reads "Corruptus in Extremis"., which means "extremely corrupt".

His catch phrase is "Vote Quimby", which he always finds an opportunity to say, even in situations where it would be disadvantageous to identify himself, like inadvertently being caught by Homer in a motel room with his mistress.

He was introduced in the episode "Bart gets an F", when was that episode firts aired? Use the last digit in the year for your "F". How many people was estimated to watch the show? use the decimal for "H".

Hans Moleman. Although apparently elderly, he claims to be only x1 years old (in "Selma's Choice", his driver's license says he was born August 2, 1961, and in "Duffless", Moleman confessed his real age at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, implying that his grotesque appearance has been caused by severe alcoholism), though Moleman has been seen at the Springfield Retirement Home on season ten's "The Old Man and the "C" Student" and in the season 13 episode Little Girl in the Big Ten, He has cataracts and is almost entirely blind (which has severely impaired his reading ability and has led to repeated revokings of his driver's license), and has used medical marijuana.

He carries a brown cane with him everywhere, which has once been shown to contain a hidden sword. In the episode "Burns' Heir", Hans is mistaken for Bart and accidentally "de-programmed" (Homer and Marge had hired a cult de-programmer, hoping to convince Bart to move out of Mr. Burns' mansion and back in with them), apparently leading him to believe he is the son of Homer and Marge. On "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife, and Her Homer", it's revealed that Hans Moleman slept with Lars Ulrich's grandmother, and is considered by Metallica to be a "real fan".

How old does he claim to be? Find x for "J".
