This cache is located in the area known as "Las Piedrotas". It is a
15 minutes drive from Tapalpa. Almost everyone in town can give you
some advice on how to get to "Las Piedrotas", but it is very
simple. After the Gas Station at the beginning of town coming from
Guadalajara, you have to make a right on Hidalgo street. Follow
that rocky street until you get to a paved road that will take you
to "Las Piedrotas". You can get to the area by car, bicycle,
motorcycle or any ATV but only to the parking area, from there you
will have to walk.
Once in the place, you have to park next to the road. Don't
worry, the area is wide open and some food and souvenir stands are
located there. Head directly to the "Big Stones" or try to go
straight to the cache, as you wish.
The cache is a green and black little plastic bottle, containing
a logbook, a pencil, a key-ring from a climbing equipment brand,
mini poker cards, Prince Charming from Shrek mini figure, finger
cuffs retreived from El Tepalo cache, and a "Gansito" mini
figure.
In the area you can practice rock climbing, hiking, horseback
riding, or just relax and fly a kite as you pic nic in there.
