Geocache Description:

Some antennas (aerials) and masts are hidden and some aren't. This huge mast certainly isn't!

This magnetic 35mm film-pot cache is located within 100m of the Antenna Mast at Hampden Park Railway Station.

You do not need to buy a platform ticket or climb any gates or fences to get to this cache.

There should be ample on-road parking at the above co-ordinates, especially during non-commuting hours, so this should be a reasonable cache-and-dash for the locals and those just passing through.

Fancy a coffee and cake, if you have a little more time? If so, drop into the Filling Station Sandwich Bar at the entrance to this road and mention my name to Sarah & Keith. Then I might get a free coffee (black decaf) the next morning when I catch the 7.21 to London Bridge. TFTCoffee
Or perhaps pop in to the Ticket Office and say Hi to Sandra.

Please note that one of the transmitters on this mast operates on a radio frequency very close to that used by car key fobs. If you park close to this mast you might need to hold your key fob close to the windscreen in order for your car doors to open. If so, this is probably due to the key fob receiver in your car having the characteristics that are affectionately referred to as 'Like a Barn Door'.
If this happens to you and you want to complain to somebody, please complain initially to the car dealer who sold you the car with the Barn Door key fob receiver (price: probably a whopping few quid) and not to the owner of the umpteen thousand pound, R&TTE Directive compliant, licensed, transmitter.

For more details regarding mobile phone mast locations: search "SiteFinder".

If anybody would like to expand this Watt Mast? series, please do. I ask that you let me (LostInTheWoods!) know first so that I can keep track of the Watt Mast numbers, and names, so as to avoid duplication.

This also applies to the Hidden and Dangerous? series of disguised mobile phone antennas.
