2010 marked
the 10yr anniversary of Geocaching. Events were held around the
world in celebration. Following on from this, Groundspeak have
declared 20th August 2011 :

They're
having a big party to celebrate it at the lily pad, Groundspeak HQ,
so we thought we'd join in here from over the pond to celebrate all
things geocaching :)
All are
welcome to attend including people new to Geocaching and visitors
to Ireland. Please post how many people with each "Will Attend" as
we need to know how many tables to reserve.
Location
: Coordinates above are to the location. The terrain reflects
the fact the location is on a hill. Waypoint added to mark entrance
to the event location. It's a 20min walk from the DART/bus stop
(bus route 31/31b) to the event location. If travelling by car,
there's a carpark on site. Waypoint added for DART/bus stop
location.
Date : Saturday 20th August.
Time : 4pm
Come join us from 4pm to celebrate
International Geocaching Day, to talk Geocaching, Geocoins and
Travelbugs, and to swap stories over a drink and a bite to eat if
you want to.
Please note: Food and drink are at your own expense. There
is no requirement to purchase food and drink at the venue, unless
you want to.
