Geocache Description:

This is a hike of about half a mile. For most of the distance, there is no trail. Near the top of the mountain, you will have to make your way through sometimes-unstable rock piles.

Take a tour of the East County on the little-used, but wonderful Boulder Creek Road that travels northwest from Descanso. The turnoff to Boulder Creek Road is at N 32° 51.934 W 116° 37.998.

The day I placed the cache, a Game Warden was waiting for some hunters to return to their vehicle parked at the gate. They were illegally hunting turkeys on private property in the nearby canyon.

With Highway Patrol vehicles, a County Sheriff vehicle, the Game Warden's truck, plus a helicopter flying overhead, it was all very exciting.

The cache is a large Lock-n-Lock container. It is not cammoed, so it is well-hidden behind, beneath, and between rocks. Please rehide it just as well when you replace it.

There are several caches along the Boulder Creek Road many of which are included in this Bookmark List.
