Geocache Description:

A short walk around the historic village of Harlech on the beautiful Snowdonia coast. Take in the majestic castle followed by a stroll up the hills beyond to admire the wonderful views over Cardigan Bay.

The coordinate given are for the long stay car park (take the turning opposite the cafe and newsagents, go up the hill past the short stay car park on your right to the end of the road and turn left). In the summer you can park all day for £2.

Take the path from the NE corner of the car park through the little park. You will exit opposite the Spar shop. Turn right along the main high street.

You will pass the Catholic Church at N52°51.530 W004°06.483 - When was the Church built (A8B2) ?

Continue to the crossroads and turn left down to the castle which is well worth exploring if you have the time. Next to the castle at N52°51.572 W004°06.541 is a statue of "The Two Kings" - When was this commissioned (198C) ?

Return to the car park and leave (on foot) via the road entrance. Turn right and follow the road up the steep hill. You will pass Pant Mawr Caravan Park at N52°51.361 W004°06.474 - If you wanted to buy a caravan what number should you call (017D6 78E226) ?

This is the final clue, you will find the cache at N52°51.EA0 W004°0D.CB5

Take the footpath just beyond the caravan park entrance (up the green lane). At the top, keep the wall ahead of you on your left to reach the footpath on to the hills. At the three metal gates, make sure you take the middle gate, you will need to lift it to open. Follow the footpath up the hill being sure to admire the unfolding view behind you. The cache is located close to this footpath and you will need to cross the style built into the dry stone wall. You are looking for a clear sandwich box with a white lid.

When placed, the cache contained the following:

*Winnie the Pooh video
*Harlech postcards
*Bone whistle
*Teddy pencil tin
*Lips photo clip
*Garden design CD
*Freebie CD
*Heart padlock
*Foam lion keyring
*Stone bracelet
*Corkscrew

Note: as the cache owners live several hours drive away from the cache; they have entrusted its upkeep with some faithful friends! However, they do visit it on a monthly basis on their regular jaunt to North Wales.
