There have been strange happenings going on in and around Fayetteville over the last several weeks. Lately the police logs in the paper have been littered with reports of lights in the sky, odd behavior of pets, and even sightings of short green creatures walking around in the woods. Team RuffRidr decided to investigate this strangeness. This series of Close Encounter caches is dedicated to our findings. We hope you enjoy them.

This may go down as one of the most significant days in UFO history. This is the day when the reports started pouring in. There have been more sightings in this concentrated area, than there have ever been reported at any other site. The quantity almost makes it appear as if there was some of kind of invasion going on.
We tracked most of the sightings down to an area concentrated just north of Lake Fayetteville. We were a little skeptical until we got to the location. During the visit, we saw what everyone has been reporting. Flying saucers! Unbelievable. We came back to this same area several times over the next week. Almost everytime we recorded at least one sighting.
On our fourth and last visit we believe we may have tracked down the object of the alien's interest. Most of the saucers seemed to be concentrated around Area 10 (according to a map posted at the area). After doing a thorough search of the area, we found a small steel box that was painted green. Just as we were about to open it, another formation of saucers approached the area. We were so scared, that we got the heck out of there. We haven't been back since, but we did get coordinates so others who may be interested can check it out. They are posted at the top of this page.
