The 21st of the ongoing monthly
roving geocaching get-togethers for 'cachers from Bucks, Beds,
Herts and beyond!
Except this ones different! IT'S A PICNIC &
BAR-B-QUE!!
When: Sunday September 20th 2009, from 11.00 am 'til 7.00
pm
Where: Wendover Woods Country Park
Why: Ask Alibags, she made me do it! ;)
Who: Cachers from Anywhere! All are welcome!
What: This is the twenty-first of an ongoing series of
events for cachers of the three counties to talk caching, plan
expeditions and decide who's organising the next one. However this
one's a bit different because it's an all-day Bar-B-Que and Picnic.
There will be a few new caches in the area and some interesting fun
and games! We have hired two of the main Bar-B-Que pits, will erect
a dining shelter with a couple of chairs and will be providing the
charcoal to keep the Bar-B-Ques going. We’ll also be selling
burgers, hot dogs, tea & coffee at a small cost, for those that
don’t want to bother cooking their own. If you want to bring your
own food for the Bar-B-Que (to eat or share) you’re also welcome to
do so.! We are working with the Forestry Commission to develop a
caching trail and hope that this will be a real bumper event and
great fun for cachers and their families.
We are also asking for volunteers to donate various items of food
to the picnic table (and possibly lend equipment). If you’re
prepared to donate some food (Salads, coleslaw, cheese, crisps,
dips, cakes, fruit, bottles of water, cola, lemonade, etc) or lend
any equipment, please leave a note on this Webpage and I’ll update
it on the Food and Equipment list below.
