SEPTEMBER 1,
2006. Numerous cachers have reported bee stings here.
It might be wise to avoid this one until the cooler weather
arrives.
While driving around Tacoma
looking for an appropriate site for “The Light of Ve,” I swung
through Point Defiance Park and, more specifically, the Camp 6
Logging Exhibit. There
was no place suitable for “The Light” but this location just leaped
out at me. What a spot
for a micro! It
reminded me of “
Boom!” in Redmond and
"
Spur of the moment" in
Kent.
Satellite reception here was
surprisingly spotty, but it doesn't really matter. Even the
most accurate coordinates would, at best, only get you to the
"Sleeping Bull." They probably wouldn't narrow your search
very much from that point. The above numbers were the best I
could do.
Cache is a small magnetic
container and it is well concealed. I'm glad I don't have to
find it! Bring your own writing tool.
NO CLIMBING
IS REQUIRED.
THE CACHE CAN
BE REACHED WITH BOTH YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND!
