Loacated behind Clayton's municipal buidling, Sandelier Park on High Street is mostly used by borough employees for its parking spaces. Restrooms, water fountain and phone are available inside the municipal building during business hours and public meetings.

From The Franklin Township Sentinel, September 15, 1988:

Sandelier Park Is Dedicated In Clayton (New Jersey)

"On September 5th, the Borough of Clayton dedicated Robert Sandelier Memorial Park, a new senior citizen recreational facility located behind the Municipal Building at Delsea Drive and East High Street.

Over one hundred borough residents, many of whom were associated with Mr. Sandelier during his many years of public service to the borough, attended the Labor Day morning dedication. County and Borough officials and the Sandelier Family were also in attendance. The Reverend Glenn Wagner of the First Baptist church in Clayton delivered the invocation, after which Mayor Charles A. Ferrel gave the welcoming address.

Brief remarks were also made by Councilman Keith Costill, Chairman of Parks Recreation and Environment Committee; Richard J. O'Donnell, President of the Clayton Senior Citizens Club; and James Gaglianone, Secretary of the Clayton Sewerage Authority, upon which Mr. Sandelier served as a charter member and as Chairman for the 25 years preceeding his death on January 14th of this year. Gaglianone recalled Sandelier's years and community leadership and his role in bringing many municipal projects to fruition, such as the high school, the new municipal building, and the Borough's Little League field.

The dedication ceremony also included a ceremonial tree planting by the Sandelier family and a ribbon cutting by Mr. Sandelier's wife, Helen."
