Named after Larson's famous comic, but inspired by it's location, which is well off the beaten path. Short hike, but it's not easy.
We went hiking on Ladyface Mountain today and helped the kids find caches that Trurokr and I had already found. When we got to the "End of the Trail?" cache I spotted a deer on a knoll down below the cache site to the north. We decided that there must be a game trail that way and sure enough, there was. The game trail is very well worn. The only problem is that the game trail is through very dense brush and the trail is about as tall as the deer that travel through it. So you can guess what position you'll be in much of the way down.

The cache shouldn't be too tough to find, but getting there will be a challenge. Look for the game trail. Approaching this from anywhere other than the "End of the Trail?" cache will probably be hazardous.

It's game trails all the way. You should wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Expect to get scraped up a little. Along the way you will do rock scrambling. Watch for critters too.

Remember, it's all about the adventure.

I drive by Ladyface every week day on the way to work. Now that I'm into geocaching, that gives me an excuse to get to the top. Getting to this cache was a challenge. TFTC

My goal for the day was to make Gods Eye View my 3K find, but I had to find all of the caches west of it first. So it didn't matter how many bushes were in the way I had to get to The Far Side. Big Eagle and SoCalifSue came up with me, and since BE had found this one before he opted to wait on the ridge while Sue and I went down. A bit of a struggle, but doable making this find 2,999. Now for the 3K find at GEV that I have been thinking about getting to for eight years. Thanks for the extra adventure.

Well, it's not entirely impassable. In fact there was a trail the whole way, you just had to do a whole lot of hiking crouched over and in some places we even had to just sit down and scoot under branches. It was quite the adventure. It saddens me to say I lost my GPS'r off my backpack on the way down and even with looking thoroughly on the way back up I didn't find it. The good news is that it was only a Garmin Legend and I have a spare Garmin Vista that I can use until I decide if I want to replace the Legend. Mr Slegal, Thanks for the Destination!

Started down from the End of the Trail with VCTrails. After about 100 yards, maybe a bit more, the trail becomes virtually impassable. The brush it extremely think. More than I wanted to deal with today. Then again, its probably more than I want to deal with ever unless I bring in my trail crew and we clear the path to the cache. That's not going to happen. Oh well, maybe this one can be reached easier by coming up from the north rather than going down from the south

The coords were right on, but it still took a while to find the cache. I had considered ditching my long sleeve shirt on the way up, when it started warming up. Now I'm glad I didn't. Other than that, I echo what Elin said.

Thanks for the cache!
