Named after Larson's famous comic, but inspired by it's location, which is well off the beaten path. Short hike, but it's not easy.

We went hiking on Ladyface Mountain today and helped the kids find caches that Trurokr and I had already found. When we got to the "End of the Trail?" cache I spotted a deer on a knoll down below the cache site to the north. We decided that there must be a game trail that way and sure enough, there was. The game trail is very well worn. The only problem is that the game trail is through very dense brush and the trail is about as tall as the deer that travel through it. So you can guess what position you'll be in much of the way down.

The cache shouldn't be too tough to find, but getting there will be a challenge. Look for the game trail. Approaching this from anywhere other than the "End of the Trail?" cache will probably be hazardous.

It's game trails all the way. You should wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Expect to get scraped up a little. Along the way you will do rock scrambling. Watch for critters too.

Remember, it's all about the adventure.

Cache Logs

The coords were right on, but it still took a while to find the cache. I had considered ditching my long sleeve shirt on the way up, when it started warming up. Now I'm glad I didn't. Other than that, I echo what Elin said.

Thanks for the cache!

Can I just say "ditto to what tru said" since I am still wiped out from this grueling morning of hiking? I think karma bit me in the butt, since tru and I played hookey from work, karma got me by having the sun give us 3 digit degree's, I fell, I cried, I got impaled by branches and my legs look like they went thru a meat grinder, but again, like tru said "it's all about the adventure" and that it was! Great spot, probably would have enjoyed it a bit more if the weather was a tad cooler, I'm sure we will be back! thanks!!!

I could have posted a beta find on this almost two years ago when it was hidden. But this was a special spot, and I knew I would be back, and likely with the chick. We had planned on playing hookie from work today, and having her find all of the caches she hadn't found, and having me find the one cache up here, that I hadn't logged. What we didn't plan on was the near three digit temps that just kicked our a$$. We took two cars, and parked one down at the hotel below, and one at the traihead by Boo. We wanted to explore some more trails out here, and we knew that it would only be less than a half mile to the car from there also, as opposed to back up, and then back down the other side. We followed game trails the whole way down, had a few false starts and re-starts but we made it out. The trail has gotten much more overgrown then when this was hidden, and there were a few times I wish I had brought my hand pruners. But alas, it is ALL about the adventure. When we got to GZ, I leaned my hiking stick against the bush, and started my search. After a couple of minutes, I was worried that I wouldn't find it. I didn't remember where it was, or what size it was for that matter. Went back and grabbed my stick, and thats when I realized I had actually leaned my stick onto the cache. Pretty good coords Scotty. Thanks for the destination!

Oh, deer. (I had to say it too.) Wasn't ready to crawl today, and I was going through my water fast enough that I didn't want to cover my arms and legs just yet. Sorry, maybe I'll come back in the winter. Looks like a great spot, and I didn't get the two south-approach caches either.

Oh deer!
It's times like these that I wish I was one.
Thanks...
