This geocache will test your ability to use a map, to project waypopints on a GPSr and to find a hidden geocache.
The cache is not at the posted coordinates. They are where I stashed extra water for the dogs and are your starting point for this multi.
The cache is in the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. From the parking area hike to the posted coordinates. The fun starts here. From this location proceed north to the trail marker for the junction of LAS VACAS TRAIL and UPPER CLEAR CREEK TRAIL.
At this location you must project a waypoint 3,254 feet away, bearing 306.22 degrees (true). This will be the cache location.
After you have projected you final location, it will be best to continue north on the Upper Clear Creek Trail for at least another half mile. You can take trails up to within a quarter mile of the cache so plan on bushwacking a total of at least a half mile.
If you are really good with map reading, projections and contour lines and know how to use a compass, you might be able to make a very good educated guess as to where the final location is before heading out to the mountains. This could be used as your coordinate checker.
