This should be an easy one but finding your way in could be a
little hard. Another of my favorite "Road Closed" signs.
This cache will give a view of the place Dolphin graduated college,
Union University. Most that attended Union in the late 1990's know
about the crazy entrance history. This is the second official
entrance to this great learning institution. Union University
raised money and took special care in the design. This million
dollar entrance was unveiled in December of 1997. Before graduation
in May 1998 the city of Jackson decided to expand the Highway 45
Bypass. This meant closing all access to Union from Highway 45.
This made the NEW official entrance nothing but a fancy back door.
After much debate the city of Jackson had to change some of the
expansion plans for the streets in the area and pay for a new
entrance to Union and name the public street that entrance would
access after the school. So unlike some of our Road Closed caches
this one has a bit of history.
