This cache provies a beautiful view south overlooking the Thornhill Broome State Beach. A moderately strenuous hike of approximately 5.2 mrt is required.
The trailhead for this cache is at the La Jolla Canyon day use parking lot (fee required), just off of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). There is good trail all the way, no bushwhacking is required. It may also be reached from the Chumash Trail trailhead on PCH. The Chumash trail approach is approximately the same distance, but steeper. The cache is located at 2.6 miles from the La Jolla Canyon trailhead. At 2.6 miles, there is a small use trail on the south side of the main trail, heading in the direction of the beach. The cache is located 50' down this use trail and about 15' to the east. The container is a tin 3" x 3" x .5" cammo'ed Sucrets container. The cache contains a log, pencil and a couple of small trade items. Along the way you might want to pick up the "Above The Falls" cache (GCKJ33). There are also two caches located nearby on Mugu Peak (GC9BD7 & GC99D2).

Hunted for quite a while before this one just popped out at me. Found a small sea shell in perfect condition but had no way to bring it home without crushing it. So I left it on top of a nearby rock for the next to find. TFTF!

I was already mentally composing the DNF log ("too many nooks and crannies") when I found it just as I was going to move on. TFTC

I almost had my hand on this one the first place I checked. But then I moved to another spot that I was SURE held the cache. Nope. Then I checked the first spot a little closer. Yup! TFTC.
