Geocache Description:

A redux of a previous cache we had out here - Ellis Cemetery: http://coord.info/GC5KC97. We went to replace that cache but we felt we needed to hide it better. Doing so put it in an entirely new location with an entirely different difficulty and terrain rating. All that in mind we felt this needed a new listing.

Please be respectful, do not hunt at night, and leave this peaceful and revered place in good condition. Remember and practice CITO. Thank you.

Donated and deeded in 1869 by Peter Ellis. The oldest stone found and, thus, first burial in the cemetery was in 1854. The last one to date was in 1996.

Two stones' epitaphs reads as follows:

Call not back the dear departed.
Anchored, safe where storms are over.
On the border land we left him
Soon to meet and part no more.
and

A Precious one from us has gone
A Voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled

A cemetery nearby home that we've never put a cache in. This has now been rectified.

No need to cross any graves. There is a clear path straight to GZ.
