Heritage Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

ROTSIP: No response from the owner.
This cache appears to have a problem and might be gone, and it seems unlikely that the problem will be addressed or that it will be replaced soon, because the CO has been inactive for more than 7 months (from the day he Disabled the listing), so I am archiving it.
If the cache is repaired or replaced, then please send an e-mail to us, stating the name and GC number of the cache, and request that the listing be unarchived. If the listing complies with the guidelines at that time, we will be happy to unarchive it for you.
Thanks for the past fun.

Heritage Cache

Hidden somewhere on the slopes of Table Mountain lies a metal box holding a strange collection of objects…

Selected by leading and upcoming visual artists from all over South Africa, the objects in this container echo the heritage of southern Africa from time immemorial to today.
Inspect it and add your own items to this collection if you want to. Please do not take anything away. The container will thus hold a growing treasure of “readymade” artworks, representing the heritage of southern Africa. Please hide it again on exactly the same spot where you have found it.

Objects were chosen by:

William Kentridge, Diane Victor, Willem Boshoff, Lien Botha, Willie Bester, Brett Murray, Gordon Froud, Raymond Smith, Cobus van Bosch, Arlene Amaler-Raviv, Sanell Aggenbagh, Churchill Madikida, Adrienne van Eeden, Norman O’Flynn, Liza Grobler, Conrad Botes, Andrew Porter, Kevin Brand, Dale Yudelman, Inge du Plessis, Leonard Wichtmann

Project coordinators: Cobus van Bosch and Arlene Amaler-Raviv.
