Geocache Description:

Grab your lucky rabbit tail, fuzzy dice or whatever gives you the winning mojo. We’re heading out for a Geocaching Poker Run!

It’s time to mix up a little geocaching with a deck of cards and a sizzlin’ BBQ grill. November 15th at Tanglewood Park. We need to meet at the above coordinates by 10am so we can get the coolers stashed, the rules explained and start our game at 10:30 sharp. Parking is at 30 25.900 N, 097 46.903 W. I won’t go into the specifics now but the format is simple. Everyone heads out to hit five caches for five cards. Then we meet back up at the tables for BBQ & beverages. If you wish to, you can discard 1 or 2 cards. Then it’s time to go hit the last two caches for your replacement cards (if you discarded any). Of course you don’t have to go to those last two caches if you didn’t discard any, BUT if you do all 7 caches, you’ll discover the coordinates for the Wildcard Cache! A BIG thanks to UGoGirl for helping out on this one with the Wildcard Cache!!!
Some important basics:
1) This is limited to seven teams. A team can be one or more people, any amount is fine. If you don’t have a “team” we will try to group people together.
2) The first seven teams to sign up are in. Since I will have a team, that means as of now we need 6 more teams.
3) I am asking a $5 “ante” from each person to go towards the Grand Prize.
4) This is also a pot-luck so state what you can bring. I’ll bring charcoal & fluid and beverages made with hops and malt.
5) Each team MUST hide one cache during the week previous to the game. I will have those caches prepared. You will get instructions when you email me to sign up. There’s a prize for the best hide as voted on by everyone playing.
6) This will obviously take a while including lunch break, so plan on several hours of fun. My guess is 10am till 4pm but that’s just a guess.
OK folks, start signing up. I think this is gonna be a blast!
