Geocache Description:

This series is called Beginner's Luck, or BL for short. This cache is one of several caches hidden specifically for beginners.

ABOUT THIS SERIES…

Are you new to Geocaching? If so, then this series is for you. I remember how hard it was to find my first few caches—it was so frustrating. I had heard that once you find a cache, it is easier to find the next one, but I was having trouble finding the first one. Luckily for me, I met some wonderful experienced Geocachers who helped me out, and soon I was able to find them myself.

Hopefully, this series will help you find your first caches. I have hidden 50 Geocaches along a hike-and-bike trail in a greenbelt park, and in the surrounding neighborhoods. I used several different kinds of containers, and camouflaged them in different ways. If you have trouble finding any of them, simply read the hint provided. Usually the hints for finding caches are cryptic, but in this case I will tell you exactly where the cache is, so that you will experience success and become familiar with several different hides. Each cache description will also include a tip about Geocaching.

Welcome to Geocaching!

Note: If you are an experienced Geocacher and want to grab these caches, by all means do so. But reading the hint will definitely be a spoiler, so beware! Please feel free to add a tip for the newbies when you log your find.

CACHE DESCRIPTION:

This cache is a match container. It contains a log and one of my miniature silver hammers for the FTF (first-to-find). It would be great if the FTF is someone new to Geocaching.

Caching Tip: Keep the name of the cache in mind while searching for a cache. Sometimes there is a clue to the cache location in the name.
