One Degree of Separation in the Middle of Nowhere Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

ElementalJay: It had a good run, but this one seems to be well and truly buried for good. As I don't expect to be in Kuwait again for at least a couple more years, I think it's time to call this one "done."

Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project. This is a seed that came from: Cujo the Cache Monster in Virginia, a One Degree of Separation Pod Cache. Located on a military base. ID required to obtain access.

During my stay in Kuwait, I found out that another cacher and I had been on this same camp at the same time for a couple of days before she left. We did not know it at the time, and so missed meeting each other. However, she told me about a Jersey Barrier that her unit had painted on the camp to commemorate their stay. When I found it, I realized that this barrier was just one degree of separation between the two of us. What an appropriate place to hide a One Degree cache! Due to the large number of non-cachers in the area during meal times, please use stealth when finding and replacing.

The One Degree of Separation project was launched to unite the entire geocaching continuum together at one point using the "Small World Theory" as it pertains to geocaching.

If even half of the nearly 13,000 caches originally released on 5/26/2006 get placed as a geocache, no geocacher in the entire world (with even 1 find) should be able to go much beyond 3 degrees of separation from every other geocacher in the world, but the REAL object of this project is to bring that number down to 1 degree for as many geocachers as possible.
