Geocache Description:

Lake Lacawac 1 will lead you on an enjoyable hike through some very scenic Pocono country to a glacial shelf overlooking Lake Lacawac - A National Natural Landmark.

You can bushwack but walking the posted trail will take you most of the way to the cache. Find trail maps and information about the lake and the nature preserve in the kiosk at the parking lot. Trails open everyday from dawn to dusk. Lacawac is a non-profit nature preserve of 545 acres preserving the most pristine and southernmost glacial lake in the hemisphere. While here, finish the trail for a look at the lake itself!
