Don't let your GPS fool you, this is about 3 miles by trails and quite a good climb, but the view at the cache site is well worth the climb. We had many wild flowers to look at along the way, and for later in the season blueberries in abundance will be ripe along the trail.

Caution, this hike is a full 4 star terrain hike and many would call it a 5 star, the only reason we didn't rate it a 5 is if you choose to go on to Mt. Thomas it gets tougher. Plan on spending about 40 minutes a mile hiking unless you are a mountain goat.
The hide itself is not by the edge, nor is it on the watershed side of the trail, so please only look between the trail and the view point. Check out the picture of our old geo-pup Jake for a hint of where to look.
