Located in the Aravaipa area in the Turkey Creek drainage. Some steep brushy stuff but not a long walk.
We placed a three pound coffee can nestled in the hillside. In the can we placed a ball cap, coffee mug, angel pin, luggage tag, Jesus braclet and eyeglass repair kit. Also log book with pen and pencil. Find your way to the Aravaipa trailhead above Klondike. After you pass the sign in station take the left fork and proceed up Turkey creek. The road is ruff and requires a high clearance vehicle. You cross the creek (really neat) six times.(maybe not good during rainy times). Beautiful campsites and drive through Araviapa preserve for about three miles. See hint for where to stop. Watch for things that pinch, scratch or bite, I'm sure they are all present.
