When: Wednesday, 13th May. From 18:30
until midnight.
Where: The Gary Cooper in the Grove Park
area of Dunsterbubble. I saw this pub and immediately thought of
Ladybird who I know is a huge Gary Cooper fan (or was it Paul
Newman... well, whatever.) The manager, Dan (a very nice man), has
agreed to reserve an area for us.
Why: Well why not? If SP can hold an
event in a Pizza Hut then a J. D. Wetherspoon's has got to be a
step in the right direction! (and anyway... I can walk home from
here!)
Who: Cachers from Bedfordshire,
Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire and anybody else that fancies
coming along.
Other
Stuff: This pub has no car parking facilities of its
own but there is a public car park just a short walk away. During
the day, it's a 'Pay & Display' but it's
FREE after 6.00 p.m.
The more observant among you may have noticed that this event has a
'Difficulty' rating of 2 stars. That reflects the challenge
involved in actually finding your way into the aforementioned car
park. The entrance co-ordinates are given in the additional
waypoints. How you get to those co-ordinates is your
problem.
If you're a real ale drinker then you'll love this place. Ruddles
'Best Bitter' is only 99p a pint. You can get mullah'd for a tenner
and still have change! Food is served until 10 p.m. and I
think it's good value for money.
Coming
Soon: The June Event. I don't know who's organising
that one but I'm sure Alibags will 'persuade' someone to do it and
details will be announced as and when.
