Rachel's Cache (It's fun to be one!) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin:
I attempted to contact the owner of Rachel's Cache (It's fun to be one!) to find out about the status of this cache on October 7, 2009. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Very easy walk on hardened dirt, grass, gravel. Just watch for poison ivy at the site (hence the 2 trail rating).

This Cache is located in Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA. This is a 480-acre park formerly under ownership of the Maudslay Estate. It features 19th century gardens, beautiful meadows, towering pines. It became a state park in 1985. There are also beautiful views of the Merrimack River. June is really the best time to visit as the flowers are in full bloom.A trail map and historical brochure are free at the visitor information site in the parking lot.Hours are dawn-to-dusk. Year-round. There is a $2.00 parking fee for cars. Biking is allowed on the trails, but I recommend walking to truly appreciate the serenity of this resource. Bald Eagles are a common site during the Winter.Rachel, my daughter, recently turned one. She’s been born into a family of hikers and mountain bikers so she’s quickly becoming acclimated to outdoor trips. This is the first place we took her to so I thought it fitting that the first cache placed with her name would go here. The cache container is small (Tupperware) but loaded with goodies. Too much to list. Please bring small items to trade. We hope you enjoy this beautiful area as much as we do!Possie2k3 & Family
