Large regular cache full of books. Bring a book, take a book.
This is the cache formerly known as the Redington Book exchange. We moved the cache here and archived the old listing due to the level of gunfire in the old location. The cache itself had even been gunned down at least once. We still have the log book with a bullet hole in it. We like this location much better.
Since Summerhaven does not have a public library, we thought this might be a humble beginning. The cache is a large plastic locking container thingy containing many books inside individual plastic bags. The idea is that you bring a book of your own that you think someone else would like to read, and take one out for youself.
This area is of particular interest to father privateer. I spent several days on these ridges a couple of years ago planting very young sappling pine trees in the burnt out and steep areas just down the hill from the antenna. If you hike down the Aspen trail, or even along the access road, you'll see them. They're growing up so fast.
