You've been waiting patiently for quite a while... The time has finally arrived. That's right, I'm talking about the
2015 Ghost River CITO!
The Place:Where Bateman Road Crosses the Wolf River
The Date:April 26, 2015
The Time:9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
The Twist:CITO! Bring a mesh bag to stow the trash you retrieve along the river.
Notes:
We will meet at Bateman Bridge at 9:30am. Once gathered, we will caravan to the put-in where Lagrange Road crosses the Wolf. We will need to leave some vehicles here for shuttling at the end of the float.
You can participate in the CITO without paddling the river. By helping with clean-up at the Put-in and/or Take-out, you will earn the right to log the CITO.
I will answer your questions to the best of my ability. Either post them here, the GOWT page on FB or to my e-mail. Bring snacks, lunch, water, a bag for your trash and for any trash you see on the river, sunscreen, skeeter repellant and a sense of adventure.
John boats may not make it through the Ghost if the water is low.
I think folks enjoyed the last Ghost Float event. You can judge for yourself based on some of the photos in the gallery from that event.
