Where We Going Now? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TracksAll & Will Ketchum: Due to the recent laws passed by Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries, which also manages some of Fairystone State Park lands, that requires all persons must have a fishing or hunting license, or a $4.00 permit to use the land, I have decided to close this cache to prevent any problems for cachers.

Geocache Description:

You just can't tell where Patrick County's Ranger TracksAll & Investigator I. Will Ketchum will lead you next.

We pass by this area almost every day and I keep thinking that nobody even know's what is back here, except maybe a few privileged folk's who work for Fairy Stone State Park. So put on your boots (you're gonna need them) and definately, WATCH your step - and get prepared for a big surprise!!!

Due to the super heavy dense canopy in the area and poor GPS coverage, this is going to be a "gimme". We can only get you to about 50 feet of the cache with the coords. We will walk you in with the following hint. It's too long to make you decode it:

First off...if you were standing down near the concrete wall and facing the wall...the cache is almost in line with the concrete wall and is uphill to your right approximately 50-60 feet. For landmarks... look for a 25 foot snag that is leaning on top of a narrow 5 foot tall rock. Cache is about 12 feet to the right of that rock and snag, in the roots of a tree that leans out pointing towards the direction you came from. Can't get too much easier than that. Go get it. Gotta love this stuff, huh!

Cache is about 7x4x4 camo painted box
