Easy cache just a short walk from parking, good footpath all the way. Good Campsie view. Please replace with the outer container upside down over the cache box.
Park and start from Mugdock East car park, take small path from right side of car park towards GZ, At fork take right hand path along the top of the quarry. **** Do NOT climb over the fence under any circumstances.**** This quarry was used in the spectacular final scene from Taggart episode 6 Funeral Rites (1987) , a car rolls off the top with the murderer onboard and smashes into water upside down and slowly sinks. The quarry was also used in opening climbing scenes of Taggart episode 13 Love Knot. Also this venue was used in the episode Black Orchid where quite unbelievably there were picnic tables and a hamburger van on the upper open side of the quarry.
