Europe's Northernmost Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Makuta Teridax: Hi

The cache appears to be gone. I have asked about the plans for this cache. Due to lack of response, this cache is now archived.

If the owner later wants it reopened, that is possible if the cache listing still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian geocachers will understand it.)

Kind regards

Geocache Description:

A cache near the northcape-museum. It's a short way from the parking place to the cache, about 5 minutes to walk.

This cache was placed on our tour from Muenster/Germany to Northcape in June 2006. We placed the cache in midsummer night and hope to see a photo of you here in the log.

The initial content of the cache:
- a log book
- a pen
- a plastic magnifying glass
- a german liquor (found in the North Cape Photocache near this cache)
- a nokia key chain
- a Panini FIFA World Cup collection card of Jens Lehmann
- a Michelin keyring
- some silvered 1-Pfennig-Coins (the former German currency)
- a sticker of my band (Rocktool)

By the way, if the sky is clear, you'll have a fantastic view from the cache location to the coastline of Mageroya.

I don't think the cache will be accessible when the ground is covered by snow, but you can always give it a try ;-)
And please be careful when walking along the cliff line, it goes down there for about 300 meters!!

Oh, and be aware of the fact that you have to pay a fee of 260 NOK in order to park your car at the parking site near the northcape-museum and the cache.

PS.: To be honest, this isn't the most northern cache of continental Europe anymore, because another one has been placed meanwhile which is a bit more north. Visit it here: GC13V3F: Knivskjelodden
