Ladies and
Gentlemen introducing Samantha in an ammo can. I give
you
THE SAMMO-CAN
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...
We all know what little girls are made of, but what about a
geocache?
Now caches come in all colors, shapes, and sizes but what we've
come to realize is:
From magnetic guardrails to great hiking trails;
an originals top 1% or one you just want off your list.
All caches are not the same...
Something for everyone, this game has it all
Enjoy hiding and seeking and F. T. F. fame.
Our favorites are the ones that make the kids smile
Just a logbook won't do it, no there's got to be loot;
Take something, leave something, Oh what a hoot!
Hidden just out of sight the ideas never stop
But for the very best caches, yeah the cream of the
crop
Take ammo cans and hide them

SAMMO-CAN is located at
the old Pilchuck Bridge Campground. It can
be accessed by
a well maintained gated forest service road. This is an easy 3/4
mile walk to the cache (1.5 mile roundtrip). There is no elevation
gain or loss. It would be fun to bike out to this cache and
there is a great swimming hole along the river. Plenty of parking
is available at the gate off of Fern Settlement Road. Reception
wasn't very good when we were here so we took the coordinates at an
offset in the middle of the road. The cache is off the left side of
the road about 20 feet. We placed it so you wouldn't have to go
through anyone's camps to dig around. It is under the fern at the
base of a dead tree. Spoiler pictures are included in the gallery.
Next time we are out here we will try for better
coordinates.
Congratulations
to
colbridgeon
your FTF!
