Parking is at the Horsethief Canyon staging area. A nice hike down the paved fire station road to the well traveled trail.
The trail will take you to the "Quail Oasis" waypoint N 32 43.943 W 116 040.873. This is a very old concrete water catchment system for the quail. From here it is a short 250 feet of bushwhacking to the cache at "Valley Pillar" to the NE. See it? You don't really need coordinates.
Tupperware-type Veteran's Day cache contains:
- Steel whistle w/lanyard.
- Pocket knife.
- Pin-on compass.
- Personal fan w/batteries.
- Utility strap w/quick release buckle.
- Where's George dollar.
- Log and mechanical pencil.
