Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

[green]Most problems can be solved with good communication so reply back to the reviewer and we will do everything possible within the guidelines to get your cache published. It is best to give me as much information as possible instead of saying nothing at all. This will speed up the process and we can get your cache published. [/green]

Geocache Description:

Tupperware container on church property. Park in church lot. Easy access in winter, much more difficult in summer due to dense tangled undergrowth. Travelbugs welcomed.

Nearby is Gibson school and Tanglewood city park. Dr. James W. Gibson, a native of Scotland, joined the landowners of this area in 1832. His home was known as Forest Home. His son, Dr. James E. Gibson later bought the woods adjoining Forest Home and built his home (the large white brick house) named Tanglewood in 1880. The house was built before electricity and plumbing. It was purchased by a St. Louis city church in the 1940's to be used as a mission to serve the growing North County area. It was used for Sunday School until the 1970s. It is now used for church rummage sales and a boy scout haunted house (Its plenty spooky at night!)

The cache is located in an Eagle Scout project "prayer garden". Come into the small clearing, have a seat before the "old rugged cross", and spend some quiet spiritual time.

This is a great cache for kids because the trinkets come from the rummage sale held 2X a year in the house. The public can tour the house during the sales. A nearby hiking trail takes you into the wooded city park. Cache is within 50 feet of parking.

Note: This is a frequent rest area for police cars and we encourage their presence. You should be able to search for the cache unimpeded; but if not, just explain why you are there and invite them along. You might make a geocache convert!
