Geocache Description:

This cache will take you through a beautiful valley near the village of Newland. It is mostly on a road / track used only for access to a couple of farms. There is a short section through woods and finally back down a path which can be pretty wet for much of the year. There used to be an old disused tractor up by the cache which my son used to go and sit on every day when he was three years old.

You can park in Newland outside The Ostrich Inn (real ale and excellent food) very close to the starting co-ords. You’ll have to climb to discover the year (abcd) when this object was restored for Margaret and head to N51 46.abd W002 39.2a3 by going down Savage Hill (right then left at the bottom) and follow the "road".

At this location you'll find a grid. ef is the two digit number of squares across the grid. Be sure to count those filled with mud too. Head to N51 46.da0 W002 39.f3e. For those who didn't bring a map, stick to the "road" (turns into a track) as it will guide you round to the co-ords.

At the co-ords g= the number of signs attached to this sign post and h = g+1.
The final cache is at N51 46.7hg W002 39.h6h. You can head diagonally up the field, or if the gate is a problem then follow the track a little further as the fence disappears shortly. Once you’ve passed the gate and stile (dog friendly) follow the path in a straight line crossing the main pathway.
