Corps of Engineers Survey Marker

You can drive to within 3/4 mile, horizontally, 1/8 vertically, of this cache. The winding trail makes it a 1 mile hike up a well maintained but rocky trail. The cache is a metal disk attached to a rock that appears to be the highest point on Elk Mountain in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge.

To claim this cache email Boots Walker the following information to verify your find:
1. The pentalty for disturbing the marker.
2. The year stamped near the center of the marker.
3. What is the mistake in the Long. Lat. stamped on the marker?

Please do not mention the answers in your log, even if you encript it.

Take plenty of water.

The trail winds through scrub oak forest and across rocky mountains. Wildlife abounds. Take some time to explore the summit. You'll get spectacular views of the refuge.
