Sheridian Drive-In Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

BRING A PEN OR PENCIL

This micro is placed near the spot that was home to the Sheridan Drive-in. Thanks to theWhiteUrkel I now have some background (some of which is word for word).

The Sheridan Drive-in was built in 1951 at the corner of Ensminger and Grand Island Boulevard, but the construction of the I-190 and I-290 left it in it's goofy location on a dead-end street. The Sheidian was also owner by the same family as the Transit Drive-in. The sheridian drive in was removed in 1982.

Urkel also said that it can be spotted on the Topozone topographic map on the cache page (because those are always notoriously outdated).

The drive-in's space is now home to some little leaguers and a few companies.

A Thanks Again to theWhiteUrkel for is keen intellect and interesting hobbies.
