Geocache Description:

The original cache was a log with one end hollowed out for a container. At times it floated away with high tides.
I even put a chain on it but it finally disappeared for good.
There should be no problem with the new cache floating away at all.

This is an area around the Marin Rowing Boathouse at an area of public shore. The boathouse has been rebuilt and is filled with many beautiful rowing shells. This is also an activity that is accessible to the public.

Though this is in an open area the coordinates varied a bit and those posted are the average of eight taken. Even if you do get something a bit different, you wouldn’t want to go there anyway.

This is an area where there is, at times, considerable activity. The cache is one of those where, once discovered, you can sit down next to it and share its contents without being discovered. There is a small log, a pencil and some small treasures. The cache is tucked away but it is out in the open and not in or under anything.
