Hrad Ostry Kamen bol postavený v 13. storoci na ochranu zapadnej hranice Uhorska a tzv. ceskej cesty, veducej z Budina do ceskych krajin.
V blizkosti hradu sa v maji 1704 sa odohrala bitka medzi rakoczyovskymi povstalcami a cisarskou armadou, ktora skoncila utekom a nakoniec obklucenim cisarskych vojsk. Tazko poskodený hrad posledni majitelia-Palffyovci opustili a hrad odvtedy pustne.

Zaparkujte:
pri vodnej nadrzi Bukova N48°32.151 E17°21.465, pokracujte po zltej  turistickej znacke,
a dalej po zelenej  ,
potom Vas cervena  turisticka znacka privedie az na hrad a ku skrysi.

The castle Ostry Kamen was built in 13th century to protect both the west border of Hungarian Empire and so called the Bohemian road which led from Budin to Bohemian countries. Nearby the castle there was a big struggle between rakoczy rebels and imperial army in May 1704 which ended in escaping of imperial army which was finally besieged. The heavily damaged castle was abandoned by its last owners - Palffy Family and became desolated since.
Access:
Park either:
1. at the Bukova watter reservoir on N48°32.151 E17°21.465, then follow the yellow turistic mark, or
2. right in Bukova village, following the green turistic mark, and the red turistic mark will take you to the castle and finally to the cache.
