This cache was placed to highlight a particular geologic feature along the Tanbark Trail which comes as a pleasant surprise when you come to it. It was totally unexpected on our first hike out this section of the trail. We hope you find it as interesting as we did. Please be careful here, we do not recommend bicycles on this section of the trail.
The sedimentary rocks you see in this area were more resistant to erosion than the surrounding sandstone rocks and soil, so they have withstood mother natures forces much better than the surrounding area. That is about all the details we can give, or we will give too much away and spoil your surprise.
Our best recommendation is to start where the trail crosses Hearts Content Road near these parking coordinates: N41*41.912 W079 15.147 and walk in to find this cache, then continue on about 0.4 miles to find AGT-Warren-The Tanbark Rocks!!!, Enjoy the hike and hunt!!
