All that's left of the former Eli's MIle High Club is a not so attractive pole barn. Apparently it was worth salvaging while the bar proper was not.
I am trying to remember what shows I saw here, as I did see a few. I seem to recall being out of my mind whenever I was out here. Good shows and about the only place to catch underground acts in the mid to late 90's.
Along with Scott Street, this was one of only a very few venues that I hung out in during my brief stint in Wausau, which seemed like an eternity then.
Unfortunately, both places are no longer in existence, but on a recent visit to place this cache, I did see that the local music scene was still hanging on in a small downtown pub. Someone always picks up the slack.
