This area has a lot of hiking and biking trails, and is a splendid location for birding and wildlife watching. Although there are other multi-part caches in this park, and one of them starts at the same place as this one, this one is in a different final location than the Texas Drive cache.
Start your cache search at the trailhead on Texas Drive (N 42° 12.729 / W 85° 40.433). To find the coordinates for the cache, first solve the following riddle:
The one thing that you can't get rid of by losing it is your _______.
Once you figure out the answer to the riddle, convert each letter of the answer’s word to a number using the following conversion technique: A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. Add the numbers up, and then subtract 14 from the result.
Plug that number into the following coordinates in place of the "xx":
N 42° 13.422 / W 85° 40.xx5
That is the location of the cache.
Driving directions: From US-131 South take the Centre St. Exit and go West on Centre. Centre becomes Q ave. Continue on Q until you reach the 4-way stop at Texas Corners (8th St. and Q Ave). Go North on 8th St. for 0.1 miles and turn right (East) on Texas Drive. The parking area is on the left just past Camp Rota-Kiwan (Boy Scout Camp).
