Fall is here! I know, I know, it doesn't offcially start for another couple days, but close enough!
Are you feeling the coolness in the air? Noticing how much sooner darkness falls upon us? Are you seeing the leaves turn into their vibrant colors, heralding this season of change? Need an excuse to get out of the house, grab a cache and meet up with other cachers? Weary from long lists of questions? If so, come on out and say hello to your fellow cachers at our long running, laid back event!
It's prime geocaching time! No doubt all of you have been hitting the trails, bushwhacking through those woods and driving to those prime caching spots by now in search of fun, laughs and good times, so why not cap off all of that fun with a nice little meet and greet located in one of the best caching areas in Mid-Missouri?
Whether you've been out searching for the numerous caches in the Columbia area or just need an excuse to get out, come join Trillian, other fellow geocachers and I for some camaraderie, exchanging and sharing of trackables, geocaching stories and of course...food. With numerous restaurant offerings in the food court, there is surely something for everyone to enjoy...even if it's just a nice, cool beverage.
This is the 16th incarnation of this event! It hardly seems possible that we’ve made it to this milestone, but we’ve sure had fun meeting with all sorts of people along the way. The very first "Eatin', Chattin' and Mallrat'n" event was held in June of 2011 and since then, the event has grown steadily, with more and more cachers coming together in the name of caching, friendship and mall food.
If you’ve ever attended any of these events before, you know what's going on. If not, though, the goal for this casual event is to provide an opportunity for everyone to get together and get to know each other better while meeting new cachers as well. This event is open to geocachers, those interested in geocaching and even merely curious muggles. All are welcome!
You don't have to purchase any food to participate in this event. You do, however, have to find us (look for a brightly-colored sign with the event cache number *GC62JJB* on it) since the above coordinates will only get you to the door of the food court.
How long you choose to stay and how much of a mallrat you end up feeling like is up to you. So, come on over to our event, say hello and sit a spell. We hope you have fun!
