Livingston county was founded in 1798 with settlers being drawn to the area by the confluence of the Cumberland, Tennessee, and Ohio rivers. Frontier life in the county was incredibly difficult. Disease and hard winters claimed many lives as evidenced by the many children's gravestones in the cemetary. Crowley Cemetary apparently began as a family cemetary for the Crowleys, and later the Robinsons and the Davises among others. Please take a look around, but be careful as there are many unmarked sandstone rocks serving as headstones. As always, please be respectful inside the cemetary. The cache is on its outskirts.
