Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other geocache-friendly places around the world. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!
Time and place? 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Meet at the McDonald Road Sportsman parking lot (posted coordinates). Please arrive promptly, so we can get organized and maximize the work time. A Washington State Discover Pass or Sportsman Access pass are required to park in the lot. However, if you don't have a pass, the shoulders on McDonald Road are wide enough to park along.
Work project? Litter pick up along McDonald Road and the parking lot.
Souvenir? Yes! Everyone who logs an “Attended” at this CITO Event earns this year’s CITO souvenir for their Geocaching.com profile.
What to wear and bring? Long pants, boots, and water. If you have high-visibility vest or jacket, please bring it. Raingear and layers depending on weather. Gloves. We will be providing trash bags.
Swag? Of course! There will be geo-goodies for our hard-working participants, courtesy of WSGA and your host.
