This cache is not located at the listed the coordinates.  To get the final set of coordinates, you must correctly answer the questions below. The quiz is meant to be quick, family friendly, and should be able to be easily answered with a web search. The hide is a small pill bottle, park and grab.


August is a nice month! The roaring July heat has died down some (or maybe we are just used to it by now!) We still have lots of daylight for caching and the tourist crowds are starting to wane finally. If you are a beachbum...you probably already know that August boasts warmer ocean temperatures then June and July on the northeast Coast.

Now! To the Puzzle!

C. Originally, the month of August did not take place during the 8th month of the calendar year. (Roman calendar) What is the number of the original month of August, divided by 3.

D. What two zodiac signs occur in the month of August? Add the letters of both signs and divide by 2.

E. Find the atomic number of the element that Joseph Priestley is credited with isolating/discovering in August of 1774. Subtract the number 4 from the atomic number.

F. On August 3, 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, as the saying goes, heading for the Canary Islands with the Nina, the Pinta and Santa Maria. Of all his voyages, which number was this? (Single digit)

G. What is the full name of the French Philosopher that is known as a key founder of the study of "Sociology", the Law of Positivism and also coined the term "Altruism"? (Feel free to share this answer if you feel it will benefit others, but only if you are able to verify it :O) Count all of his names.

I. On August 28th, 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I have a Dream" speech, in Washington D,C in front of a crowd of 250,000 American activists. The historic location where this happened is open to the public (for free) and you can even stand where he stood to deliver the speech! Find the number of letters in the name of the location (2 words total) and divide by 3.

J. On August 12 1908, the first mass produced car (The Ford Model T) was first made. How many letters are in the Nickname of this car. Divide that number by 3.

K. What is the basic color of the August Birthstone. How many letters are in the name of that color? (I am looking for "red, purple, white", ect, not silly colors like "hot lava, eggplant or linen")

L. On August 8th, "The Great Train Robbery" took place at the Bridego Railway Bridge in England. Find the year that this occurred. Add the numbers and then subtract the number 19 from your sum.

M. In what season of the TV show "Fringe" did the episode "August" occur?

N. What is the number of letters in the title of the ninth track of Eric Clapton's 1986 album "August"
