OK, this one is a little silly. Rather than
hide the cache deep in a tropical rainforest, I have chosen to place it in the
front yard of two world-renowned Geocachers who shall remain nameless. I'm
sorry that I lack the creativity of some of the excellent GeoMasters here on
Oahu who send you to the far corners of the island, providing you with
challenging hikes and superb views. My cache is, instead, about three
steps from your car if you park in the right place! This is one for those
who want to bag a quick find and then move on to more challenging hunts, and
those who are unable to trek the many trails of Oahu. If you want to be
led to a picturesque waterfall or scenic vista, pass this one up.
This cache is not totally without challenges, however.
Because this is located in a residential neighborhood, your mission is to walk
the fine line between giving away the location to the neighborhood kids, and
looking so suspicious that the neighbors call the cops. Subtract 3 points
if you make the dogs bark. Getting arrested will cost you 10 points.

- Please do NOT dig up the front yard! The cache
will be clearly visible, and you will have no trouble being absolutely sure it
is the cache when you see it. It will not be necessary to root around in
the bushes, overturn rocks, or do anything like that. Be extra careful to
not trample the plants.
- Do not blunder around the front yard! The cache is located about 6' from
the curb and can be easily seen from the curb if you are standing up and look
carefully. If she catches people wandering around her front yard, the
wifely side of the world-famous Geocaching team will probably put an end to this
particular one, and might even turn the poodles loose on you.
- The cache is NOT under a water/power/cable access plate, so don't even think
about pulling any of these up. They DO make a nice platform to stand on
when searching for caches, though (hint, hint).
- Be stealthy! The neighborhood kids know nothing about this (nor do the
neighborhood adults, for that matter), so look around before pointing and
shouting, "THERE IT IS!!!!!" Having your car parked at the curb (so you
can hide behind it) would be a plus.
- Finally, you will NOT be able to pull the cache from its hiding place (it's
cemented in the ground), so just remove the cover and pull out the innards.
