Geocache Description:

Birthday Cache

This cache is about 5 kilometres in length. Of course you also have to walk back! On your way back you can take a shortcut. This cache is in and around the recreation terain "De Melanen".

Parking – N51° 31.345 – E4° 17.257
You are standing at the parking now. Take the house number you see at the building next to you. This is ’A’. Multiply this by 95 and add 3. This is BBB.

Point 1 – N51° 31.BBB – E4° 17.A00
You are standing next to an exercise now. Take the number on the sign. This is C. Count the number of poles. Multiply this by 40 and add 3. This is DDD.

Point 2 – N51° 31.DDD – E4° 18.07C
You are standing at a historical place now. If everything went wel, you should see a bench. In which month and year has this bench been given. Multiply the number of the month by 3. This is EE. And multiply all the digits of the year. This is F.

Point 3 – N51° 31.521 – E4° 18.EEF
This brings you to something like a crossing. Look at the tree closest to the middle of the crossing and check out the painted stripes.
a. yellow/wit: GGG = 048
b. red/white/blue: GGG = 344
c. red/white: GGG = 099

You are standing on something like a T-crossing now. What is the direction of the hardened road?
a. NW -> SE: H = 5 and I = 3
b. North -> south: H = 3 and I = 5
c. West -> east: H = 8 and I = 1

Point 5 – N51° 30.8HI – E4° 18.H7I
Now you are getting very close to the cache. You should be standing in a square now. Go and stand exactly in the middle. Keep the pastureland (in Dutch “weiland”) at your left. Divide 176 by your length in cm and multiply this by 37. This is the amount of steps you have to make, parallel to the long site of the square. Take normal steps.
You will find the cache, hidden behind a few bricks. The cache is gray.
